Fourth, fifth and sixth graders are invited to the Great Stone Face Party with Sarah Prineas! Each year, 25 books are nominated for the statewide Great Stone Face Award and only 4-6th graders are allowed to make the final choice. So we'll have snacks and treats, vote for the best and worst books and visit with one of the GSF nominee authors--Sarah Prineas. Her book, "The Magic Thief" is on at least four other state awards lists, it is a National Council of Teachers of English Notable Book and it is a Cybil Awards finalist! Not only that, it's great fun to read and there's more--it's the first of a series. Ms. Prineas will join us via Skype, so she and the kids will be able to see and talk to each other, ask questions, discuss her book and its sequel and get a feel for what it's like to be an author.
