Overdrive Ebooks & the Nook

Using Overdrive with your Nook:

From Seabrook Library website enter Overdrive Audio/EBook download site.

Start search for a book. Once you have found the book you want add it to cart.

Proceed to Checkout.

At this point you will be prompted to enter your Library and your library card number.

Before you can download your book you must download Adobe Digital Additions.

Once Adobe is downloaded you must register and activate both your computer and Nook. Follow the Adobe prompts.

Once Adobe Digital Editions is installed download your book onto your computer.

Adobe Digital Editions should open and this is where you will find your book.

Connect your Nook to the computer, you will see your Nook in Adobe, at this point drag and drop the book into your Nook.

Disconnect your Nook from the computer; you are now ready to start reading on your Nook.

Scratched dvd’s, cd’s, or video games got you down? The Seabrook Library now offers disc repair! $1.00 per disc!
Our disc repair machine will clean discs and repair many scratches*. You can drop off up to 5 discs at a time and we will call you when they are ready to pick up, in most cases less than 3 days.

* we can’t guarantee that all scratches will come out or that the disc will be perfectly playable. No refunds.

FAQ: Overdrive + Library Card Numbers

Q: I have a library card, and I tried to use the Overdrive program, but it said that my card number was invalid. Is there a prefix I have to use?

A: There is no prefix, but the older card numbers will not work. If your library card number is only 7 digits long, please call the library (474-2044) so we can update your card number. All of the card numbers that are 14 digits long should work with no problem. Feel free to call or email [szpatterson @ sealib . org - without spaces] if you have any troubles.

Wondering what Overdrive is? Overdrive is an audiobook download service available to Seabrook Library cardholders. Patrons can log on to the website from home and download audiobooks directly to their computers. From there you can listen to the book on your computer, put the book on an mp3 player to go, and many titles can be burned to cd. Visit NH Overdrive for more information!
