February Vacation Week for Kids

 Monday, 10am-12pm—Kids Can Stitch.  Find out how to decorate with stitches—you’ll have something to take home at the end.

Ages 8+.  Sign-up required. 

 

  







Tuesday, 1-5pm—Game Day.  Board games and Wii games will be out to play.
  

 Wednesday, 2:00pm—Polar Bear Day.  A polar movie and popcorn!

Thursday, 11am and 4pm—Bingo!  Play for prizes. 

 

 Friday, 1-5pm—Peanut Lovers’ Day.  Make PB-based bird/animal feeders for your outdoor friends.

And the Winners Are...

The Wii Tournament is now over. We had quite a few teams--and everyone had a great time! The winners, with a whopping 1600 points, are Patrick, Michael and Brandon! Congratulations :)

February Vacation Week!

Monday at 2pm: Quilted Stories--We'll read stories for the K-4th grade group with real quilts and also with a cool craft to make and take home afterwords.

Tuesday at 4pm: Don't just sit at home! Come on out to watch "Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs" with your friends--we have free popcorn too!




Wednesday at 6pm: Puzzle Evening--Sure, you CAN just put together puzzles if you want...but you can also make crafts out of spare puzzle pieces, create your own puzzle, or just color one in! Snacks are included :)

Thursday at 3:30pm--Wii Tournament Finale! This is your final chance to compete in the Wii Tournament! It doesn't matter whether or not you've played any of the previous rounds--anyone can play! Final rounds of Wii Play will be played, scores added up...then winners announced and trophies awarded! Snacks are included.

Friday 3:30-5:00pm--Paws 4 Reading (Misty). Come read a story to Misty, our German Shepherd! She listens attentively and gives high fives when you finish :) Call or email to sign up for a reading time.

Wii Tournament

The Wii Tournament starts Thursday, Feb. 4th at 3:30! Make a team (four players is as many as you'll want) and come prepared to compete. We'll be playing Wii Play games, so if you aren't really familiar with the Wii this is a very good opportunity. The games are great fun, but they're also designed so that you'll learn how to handle the remote as you play. The tournament will continue every Thursday in February--the Finale will be the Thursday of February Vacation Week with trophies for the winners! Snacks are included :)

We are approaching the end of the Summer Reading Program--please don't forget to bring your reading logs in so you can win prizes and contribute to the NHSPCA!

Monday at 3:30pm--Magician Debbie O'Carroll will be here! Come see "The Magic Library"... you just might be part of the show!

Monday at 6:00pm--The final night of the Wii Bowling Tournament. This is your LAST chance to prove your bowling superiority! This is for all the marbles and glory and trophies! Ok, perhaps I exaggerate, but don't miss your last chance--I wasn't kidding about trophies.

Tuesday at 11:00am--Story Time! Join us for stories and a craft or an outside activity--all ages welcome.

Tuesday 1-5pm--Drop in Craft! This is the one you've been waiting for since I chucked things around in your classroom--The Exploding Glider!

Wednesday at 6:00pm--Family Movie Night! Tonight's feature is "Tale of Despereaux"--the animated tale of a large-eared mouse hero and his rat sidekick. Free popcorn too.

Thursday at 3:30--Our last chance at Frisbee Golf. With any luck the sun will take pity on us and peek down while we go out to play!

Friday at 11:00--Story Time! Join us for stories and a craft or an outside activity--all ages welcome.

Don't Forget: Next week is the Final Party with the Prize Giveaway--please bring your reading logs in beforehand so that I can be prepared and make it fun instead of slogging through paperwork while everyone waits to find out who gets the bikes and gift certificates and...

Is April Vacation Week just not as exciting as you'd hoped?
Join us for Wii Play, Wii Sports, cow racing and other games! If Guitar Hero is more your speed, don't worry, that will be here too!
If video games don't excite you, it's ok, we'll have board games too.
Snacks are included; come hang out with your friends!

Vacation Week Activities

Vacation Week is here! Hurray! Come play at the Library!

Monday the 23rd, we have a special Quilted Story Time for 1st-4th graders. The Quilters' Group at the library has lent us a really neat gift that they created. They found good story books about quilts, then they sewed the quilts that are described in the books! They're lending us the books and quilts to read, see and feel. After we read, everyone will get a chance to create their own quilt square.

Tuesday the 24th, we're going to watch a movie! Join us for Ice Age and popcorn!

Thursday the 26th, it's all about the games. The library has a Wii and we want you to come play! Along with the games, we'll have snacks!
