Get Ready for School!

School is on the horizon! But before it gets here, come to the library to get ready. There are a lot of these backpacks available--they all include a bag of supplies (a pack of construction paper, crayons, safety scissors, glue stick, alphabet foam stickers, play doh), several books (different books in each pack), and a folder of helpful activities. All I need from you is the child's first name and the town you live in. Please get a backpack and help a kid get started  :)

Thank you!

The Seabrook Library Children's Room has just finished "On Your Mark, Get Set...READ!"--the 2016 summer reading program. The kids read 693 hours! It's been a busy, active summer and we've had so much help! So much appreciation is due to the following: Rotary Club of Hampton, whose generous donation brought both the Children's Museum of NH and Jerry Schneider's butterflies to the library; Bob's Discount Furniture, whose gift helped fund the reading prizes; Topsfield Fair, who gave prizes and a craft program; Captain's Cove Adventure Golf who offered free passes as prizes; Noodles & Co., who offered noodle bowls as prizes; the Community Center who hosted a fantastic mixer. There were a lot of people who helped out in many ways--usually pitching in at programs to help serve treats, assist with kids' crafts, or even cleaning up: Beth, Dennis, Breezy, Kiki, Anna, Bobby, Jay, Adele and I'm sure there are many more I'm forgetting (I'm sorry--I really do appreciate ALL of you!). Thank you to everyone who helped make summer reading happen!

July 18-22 for Kids at the Library

This week will be hot and busy--we do have AC at the library :) (Also, for those of you who were here yesterday, it's fixed!) And in case you're wondering, yes, you can still sign up for the Summer Reading Program.

Monday, 12:00pm--Sandwiches & Stories. Bring your lunch to the library for
an outdoor picnic! Eat your lunch while listening to stories, then do a
craft, play a game, do some activities.

NO Tail Waggin' Tutors on Tuesday, but you'll be able to sign up for the 26th.

Wednesday, 6:00pm--Zumba for 7-12 year olds with Christine Antonucci. Now that the AC is at 100%, come in to dance and laugh with your friends :)

Thursday, 3:30--Meet a Hero! Remember last year when the Fire Department and Police Department brought their vehicles over and everyone got to climb all over them and talk to the firefighters and officers?  Well, they're coming back and this time the Department of Public Works will join us too!  I don't know what vehicle(s) they're bringing, but I bet it'll be BIG :)  Bring your cameras and water bottles. Please plan on parking in the old Wal-Mart lot since the library's parking lot will be full.

See you soon!
